100 Calorie Smoothie

A delicious smoothie that is the perfect snack or portion of a meal! This smoothie is yummy, low calorie, and gets in a serving of fruit. What could be better!?
It may be hard to believe, but I have found a way to make a 100 calorie smoothie that is both delicious and nutritious! It is also virtually allergen free (as far as I can tell) because there is no dairy, nuts, wheat, or soy! Which also makes this smoothie vegan, so pretty much anyone can enjoy its deliciousness!

Now this smoothie is not meant to be a meal substitute or anything like a normal smoothie would be, more of a snack of a part of a meal. It is only 100 calories after all! I usually have one of these smoothies in the morning while I drive to work, after having some oatmeal in the morning. It also makes the perfect afternoon snack, as the chia seeds will expand to help keep you feeling full until dinner.

The secret to keeping this smoothie low calorie is using a low calorie liquid! I use a Bai drink, which if you haven’t tried this brand yet, they are seriously delicious! My favorites to use in smoothies are the mango and the peach flavors. Even if you don’t make this smoothie, you should seriously try the peach flavor. It literally tastes like a fresh peach. Not like canned peaches or peach rings, like you have actually just bit into a fresh peach. It is unreal and delicious…which is part of what makes this smoothie so good too 🙂

Ingredients
  • 1 cup frozen fruit
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp ground flax seeds
  • 8 oz. Bai drink (I like using mango or peach flavor)
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth.

  2. Serve and enjoy!
