It’s my first ever Christmas tree! I may bit a bit biased, but I am totally obsessed with this thing. I love the classic look of the silver and red all over the tree, with just a sprinkling of my own fun ornaments thrown in here and there. It was so fun to shop around and find what I wanted for my tree, and also trying to get the best deal. I pretty much bought everything on the days they were 50% off, so I am also crazy proud of my patience/bargain shopping skills. I know I’m a broken record by now, but I got all of the decorations from Michael’s and Target!
The tree itself, the star, the lights, and the string beads are all from Target! Target has a huge selection of ornaments and trees, all at really great prices. The main downfall that I found with trying to find ornaments at target was I felt every box was either only one color of 50 ornaments or 5 colors and 25 ornaments. I wanted to try a red and silver tree, and I would’ve had to buy over 100 ornaments if I wanted to so from Target!
So needless to say, I found al of my ball ornaments from Michael’s! All of my ornaments are shatterproof partially for cost purposes, partially because from afar I can’t tell a difference, and mostly because I knew my kitten would think that the tree was his toy–and he does. The larger balls came in a pack of 35, and the smaller ones came in packs of 6, so I got 3 of those! I also picked up the icicles from Michael’s, and I totally love how they look on the tree. Oh and the initials on the wall are always there, not just at Christmas, but you can find similar letters in from Michael’s as well!
While shooting for this post I also caught this ADORABLE picture of Sterling, so, here is little Sterling and the tree. He already has grown so much in the three weeks since we got him, and even since the all the pictures I posted last week! I will be sharing some more footage of him/updates on Wednesday’s vlog, so be sure to check in then.
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated my Christmas tree this year. Be sure to leave a comment down below with what colors you decorate your tree with! The more ideas the merrier, as I may change it up again next year!
