Fall Hikes

Lately I have been trying to get back on the healthy train–eating right, exercising, drinking tons of water, just all of the usual stuff. As a result of this and the cooler temperatures we have been experiencing, my husband and I have been going on more hikes than usual. It’s been so fun and fabulous and lately so FALL.

In addition hikes are an amazingly fun way to get in some exercise for your day! I particularly love going to this trail because there is a flat trail that runs parallel with the river in addition to a hilly, more intense trail that goes through the woods. Oh and it’s only ten minutes from my house, which is convenient–even in the evening.

Morning Hike

Not too long ago we went on Saturday morning hike fueled on bagels and coffee, and it was foggy as all heck out there. Okay…so this morning hike was more like a midday hike, which makes the fog all the more strange! It was almost noon when I shot most of these foggy images, but I am not mad at it. I was practically drooling as I was editing them. Don’t these look like they are from a fairytale or something!?

Evening Hike

Seeing this trail in the evening was a totally different experience than in the morning. We went on a different day for these images, and it was so dreamy seeing all the golden leaves as the sun was setting over the river. It was amazing how much the trees had changed color so fast, as it was only a few days between the two hikes.

We also had a healthy little picnic as we watched the sunset over the river, but I forgot take pictures while we were eating because I was mainly focused on, well, eating. 🙂
